Copper Fox Distillery
Sperryville’s Copper Fox Distillery is located on a scenic old barn with a tractor-powered barley mill. If you’ve never seen a distillery in action, from malting floor to smoking the grains, this is a great place to start. Your reward? A taste of the rare North American single malt whiskey, smoked with apple and cherry wood. The rye whiskey is notable for its heavy dash of smoked malt and is produced in single batches in copper pots. Just be careful - too much whiskey and you might try to drive the tractor back to the city. (9 River Lane, Sperryville, VA; 540-987-8554)
