Taco Fiesta
This casual, popular Harbor East taco spot just celebrated its 10th anniversary in that location (and 25 years overall, with a location in College Park). We’re thinking 2 for 1 margaritas on Sundays may have played a little part in getting them to the momentous occasion because, well, the only thing better than one margarita, is two, of course. Fresh ingredients are the name of the game at Taco Fiesta, especially when it comes to beverages. And while we’re always up for a typical on-the-rocks-with-salt rendition, we’re particularly excited about the recent introduction of their frozen Blood Orange Margarita. Miguel’s Cocina y Cantina
With 23 brands of tequila on hand, the made to order margaritas here can be as low key or upscale as you choose. There are over ten varieties of margaritas on the menu already, ranging from a Skinny Margarita (Herradura silver, Cointreau, Agave Nectar, fresh lime juice) to the creative Campo Azul Blanco (Hot House Cucumber puree, Combier, Tabasco-salted rim and Miguel’s mix). (1200 Steuart St.; 443-438-3139)
Johnny Sanchez
Situated in the Horseshoe Casino, Johnny Sanchez is a collaboration between celebrity chefs John Besh and Aaron Sanchez. We’re pretty sure a margarita from this winning combination is the way to kick off a night of gambling. Looking for an innovative twist on the traditional? Try the Margarita de Jimica. Utilizing muddled, fire roasted jalapeno, Cazadores Blanco, freshly squeezed lime and lemon juices and agave, like their Roasted Jalapeno Margarita, this one is spruced up with a dash of cinnamon and a bit of hibiscus puree that local food blogger, Jessica Formicola, says, “gives off a neon pink glow that can’t help but make you smile.” (1525 Russell St.; 443-931-4575)
Nacho Mama’s
No list of margaritas in Baltimore would be complete without the addition of Nacho Mama’s Hubcap Margarita. This is exactly what it sounds like - a hubcap filled with liquid goodness and a straw for all involved - and the perfect accompaniment to those Tuesday tacos. (2907 O’Donnell St.; 410-675-0898)
