Ridley Scott has directed a four-minute short film for Hennessy X.O. visualizing the seven flavors of the high-end cognac into seven different fantastical worlds.
The veteran director, who has helmed films from Gladiator to Blade Runner to The Martian, has done large-scale commercials in the past — most notably, he worked on an Apple campaign back in 1984 for the Super Bowl — and this time, he's working with Hennessy to showcase each distinct flavor found within the spirit.
The piece itself is stunning, thanks to Ridley's direction, cinematography work from his longtime collaborator Dariusz Wolski, and a score from Daniel Pemberton, who scored newly minted Academy Award winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
