Game of Thrones might not be coming back until 2019, but you can still drink like Tyrion Lannister with the newest collaboration from Ommegang and HBO called Hand of the Queen.
According to Food & Wine, the 13th beer in this storied collaboration will actually be one of four new beers that will be released in 2018, which will all be part of the Royal Reserve line. Hand of the Queen, the first of the line and first of its name, is an 11% barleywine with hints of molasses, toffee, brandy-soaked raisins, and dark fruit. A beer fit for Tyrion, currently Hand of the Queen himself, this particular brew will be availble in April 2018 in 750 milliliter bottles.
Though three other beers will follow, there are very few details as of yet, aside from the fact that they will be released in July, October, and December. This means that they'll definitely precede the 8th and final season of HBO's epic fantasy series, but there's no better way to wait out this long winter than with some excellent beer.
