Watch out, Two-Buck Chuck — Target is introducing its own line of wine, each of which will cost just $5.
Target's line of exclusive wines, called California Roots, will launch in Target stores that sell alcohol nationwide on September 3. Marketed as "premium" wines made from "California-grown grapes," the wine promises to be high quality at a very low price, and though Target does already sell alcohol, this will be the first line exclusive to the chain.
The wine will come in five varieties — Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Moscato, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a red blend — so no rosé just quite yet, but that's likely not far behind. The wines will arrive in 1,100 Target stores across the country just in time for fall, so while you're restocking toothpaste and shampoo, why not grab a red blend that only costs a few dollars more than a cup of Starbucks coffee?
