Chipotle hasn’t been doing so well these last few years, mainly due to its repeated poisoning of its customers. With profits plummeting by almost a quarter recently, there’s only one thing Chipotle seems think will help its business: giving away free alcohol.
The deals are an attempt to bring customers to the front door, and press packets have been released to sites such as Business Insider. However, sites such as The Consumerist have found that there is little to no promotion for it at the restaurants.
Will this be the recovery that Chipotle needs to right its business? It’s unclear. People enjoy free or cheap alcohol, though they likely enjoy a life free of E. Coli more. Hopefully Chipotle will sort out its food problems, and we can enjoy their burritos and two-for-one margs safely from here on out.
