New Bill Paying App, Full Society, Is Helping Baltimore Diners Give Back

New Bill Paying App, Full Society, Is Helping Baltimore Diners Give Back

While we obviously enjoy diving into the city’s fantastic food and getting our drink on, we also realize there are those who are far from able to access the same in this city. While many of us are fortunate enough to be able to access the best consumables this city has to offer, there are still many who have limited access to food.

In an effort to bring together the food lovers of Baltimore with the food needs of Baltimore, Full Society has created a mobile bill pay app for restaurants and bars with a social mission to give a meal back locally for every transaction paid with Full Society.

Samone Maddox, head of marketing for Full Society explains, “The app allows guests to check into the restaurant or bar they are at, view their bill on their phone and, when they are ready to leave, they can pay the bill as well as split it, if needed, then tip, and donate to one of the non-profits Full Society works with. The Full Society app helps increase table turnover times, enhances the guest experience, and provides a more affordable fee for credit card processing for restaurants.”

Full Society works with non-profits that help food insecure individuals. Their current partnered non-profits are The Helping Up Mission, Paul’s Place, and The Maryland Farmer’s Market Association.

“We are striving to change the culture of dining out to make giving back to those in need a more routine activity, as well as to make it more accessible. We find that people do want to help the less fortunate, however they do not always know how to. We want Full Society to make this an easy and frequent occurrence. If every person who dined out just gave one extra dollar to help someone in need, that small fee would make a big difference.”

Full Society is currently in beta testing, which means the app is not yet available in app stores, but there is participation in a private beta. The software currently integrates with the point of sale system Micros 3700 and they are in development for Micros E7 as well as Aloha. The restaurants that are currently participating in the live beta are Alma Cocina Latina, Hightopps Backstage Grille, Grand Cru, Birroteca, and My Thai. However, the beta group continues to grow, adding new restaurants all the time.

Stay tuned for information on when the app will go live and how to become a part of beta testing.
