Leave your cholesterol worries at the door as you dive whole hog into this huge food and drink event. There will be live music, tasting seminars, tons of food and unlimited sampling of beer and bourbon. All this feasting starts at 2 PM.
There are expected to be 40 bourbons and 60 beers on tap and BBQ stations galore. The BBQ is a la carte, but the festival promises to “keep the portions heavy and prices low.” There will also be a Shrine of Swine featuring pulled pork right from the source with a new pig every hour. And don’t forget to feed your brain at seminars in the Tasting Theater with Master Distillers, Brewmasters and Pitmasters from the Deep South.
Tickets are $35 in advance and $40
In addition to all the food and drinks, a variety of vendors, including Breweriana, hot sauces, BBQ accessories and a cigar tent, will be set up for all guests to peruse. Enjoy live rock, blues and bluegrass music on the Main Stage all afternoon.
The festival is located at the Richmond Raceway Complex at 600 E Laburnum Ave., and a portion of the event proceeds will go to Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation. The Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival is traveling to other cities all summer long so check the website for more locations.
