Had enough of the Ice Bucket Challenge yet?
You’re not alone.
Still, hating on something that’s meant to boost awareness for the neurodegenerative disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations for its research, comes off as, well, kind of cold.
But when you think about, the viral phenomenon and the millions who’ve participated probably generated more hype about buckets of ice water and cold soaking wet heads than the cause that's behind it.
That’s what makes actor Patrick Stewart’s take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge such a breath of fresh air. Check out the video below. Without uttering so much as a single word, his response is poignant and puts the ice to better use.
