Coolest Cooler Concept Raises More Than $4.5 Million on Kickstarter

Whether or not Coolest Cooler creator Ryan Grepper’s come up with greatest modern contribution to drinking since the invention of refrigeration remains to be seen. But if Kickstarter numbers are any indication, he may not be far off.
So far his project has raised $4.8 million from more than 24,000 backers on the popular crowdfunding platform, and the campaign still has 45 more days to go.
If you take a look at what he’s pitching, it’s no wonder the reimagined cooler caught on with so many supporters. Grepper’s invention takes the everyday beer cooler on an evolutionary leap. Of the many life- and party-saving features, he’s outfitted this ice chest with a built-in rechargeable blender, Bluetooth-ready speakers, LED interior light and a waterproof USB port. Naturally, it has a bottle opener too.
