With FIFA World Cup action keeping all eyes on Brazil this summer, it’s no surprise that our collective conscious keeps drifting towards Caipirinhas. After all, the Cachaça-laden quaff is the tournament's host country’s official national cocktail.
For the uninitiated, Cachaça is Brazil’s homegrown rum-like spirit distilled from pure sugarcane. It’s often found in many Caribbean and other tropical drinks, but is perhaps best known as base spirit in the Caipirinha.
