Heineken has become known for some pretty unusual and dynamic ads over the past few years. Their latest viral campaign, Stage Fright, led to a nationwide talent search throughout Ireland. Heineken put out a call for those with legendary talents to come forth for a chance to win a once in a lifetime private island getaway.
But legendary talent calls for a legendary competition. Finalists were invited to, what appeared to be, a recording room where they would preform for their chance to win the final prize. The recording room fell away, leaving the bewildered contestant on a stage in front of an audience of hundreds. Would they rise to the occasion and become the stuff of legends? Stage Fright was inspired by Heineken's most recent TV spot, Odyssey, which features what appears to be the sea’s most talented man galavanting about a cruise ship. It’s revealed that this man is actually a variety of characters, supporting Heineken’s assertion that ‘Everyone is Legendary at Something’.
