It’s no secret that the brightest and best from the restaurant and hospitality world enthusiastically turn out in huge numbers each June for Marc Vetri’s Great Chefs Event, benefitting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Vetri Foundation For Children. And with them comes some of the most delicious and enticing, if not outright mind-blowing, culinary creations ever imagined.
This year, the ninth annual fundraiser brought out everyone from locals like Iron Chef Jose Garces and Top Chef champ Kevin Sbraga to worldwide sensations like April Bloomfield from New York’s The Spotted Pig and The Breslin and Michael Symon from the ABC daytime show The Chew. Vetri and the event’s organizers had a goal of raising $1 million or more through ticket sales and live and silent auction items. The live auction brought in upwards of $80,000 alone, and some of the silent auction items are still up for bid, which means that goal will more than likely be reached — if not surpassed — in the coming days.
While the celebrity chefs and the seemingly endless array of tasty bites they cooked up served as the event’s biggest draw, the evening’s drinkable options were equally just as impressive. Click through and check out our photos of who was pouring what.
