The Sound Bites festival, an outdoor food, drink, and music fest, is back this year and better than ever. On Sunday, May 4, enjoy food, beer, and cocktails to your heart’s content while supporting DC Central Kitchen.
This year, Sound Bites is happening at The Ronald Reagan Building’s Woodrow Wilson Plaza from 1 to 5 PM, and everything is included with your ticket. Last year, drinks were not included, but no need to worry about paying at the bar this year! And not only are the beverages included this time around, but there will be plenty of options to choose from including craft beer, artisan cocktails, and much more. There will even be a bar battle going on where some of DC’s best mixologists will be shaking things up.
And don’t forget about all the glorious food! Local restaurants like Gordon Biersch, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace, and Vinoteca to name a few, will be serving up some delicious bites. Check out the full list of participating restaurants here.
Did we mention there’s music too? Catch performances by Billy Thompson, Black Masala, DJ Harry Hotter, and Ingleside Collective. Grab more information about the different acts here.
Tickets are $65 and are available online. Again, everything from food, to music, to drinks is included in your ticket this year. All proceeds benefit DC Central Kitchen.
DC Central Kitchen is a leader in using food to strengthen communities. Founded in 1989, DCCK has prepared over 25 million meals for low-income and at-risk neighbors in DC, but don’t call them a soup kitchen, because they are so much more than a healthy meal. DCCK also offers culinary job training to unemployed men and women who are looking to change their own life, but also want to work towards better, stronger communities.
