The fourth annual Colorado Wine Week is upon us from June 1-7 and this event just gets bigger and juicier every year. Cities from all over the state will host events for all things grape-related, but here in Denver we can enjoy seven days of vino in four Front Range cities: Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs. The event is put on by the Colorado Assocation for Viticulture and Enology.
Highlights of Denver’s week include:
Farm to Turntable Keg Wine Party, June 1: Several of Denver’s finest wineries and five of its top restaurants will provide drinks and eats at the Infinite Monkey Theroem Winery in RiNo. A $25 ticket gets you unlimited samples of delicious food and one glass of wine. Additional wines can be purchased at the cash bar. Enjoy DJ music and a portion of the proceeds will go to Heroes Like Us.
Third Annual Colorado Wine Cocktail Competition, June 4: Six of the city’s best mixers will compete at the-not-so-secret Green Russell in Denver. Joe Hines, beverage director at Dazzle, is going for the three-peat. A $15 ticket includes entrance a one free wine cocktail. Food and other beverages will be available for purchase.
Governor’s Cup Wine Mixer, June 6: This prestigious wine event at Hyatt Place in Cherry Creek will showcase the best of this year’s wine releases and honor those who make them. Tickets are just $25 and include tastings of these award-winning wines with appetizers.
