Get your resumes ready folks! It is time once again for Wynkoop Brewing Company to scour the country for the Beerdrinker of the Year.
Open to all men and women of drinking age, the Wynkoop is searching for the most passionate, knowledgeable and all around total beer freak to serve as the brewery’s beer-loving ambassador to the world.
To enter, submit a “Beer Resume” that includes your beer philosophy, details on your passion for beer and a summary of your 2012 beer experiences. Applicants must also have an understanding of beer and beer history as well as a desire to educate others about the wonders of brew. Resumes are then reviewed by some of the best beer connoisseurs in the nation, including beer experts, beer journalists and previous Beerdrinker winners. The top three entrants are flown to Denver (at Wynkoop’s expense) to participate in the Beerdrinker of the Year National Finals on February 23, 2013.
For the 17th annual contest, the winner will receive free beer for life at Wynkoop Brewing and $250 of beer at a local brewpub or bar. You’ll also win special 2013 Beerdrinker of the Year clothing and have your name engraved on the Beerdrinker of the Year trophy at Wynkoop. They will also enjoy “the lofty acclaim that comes from being named the nation’s greatest beer nut,” says the ‘koop.
Visit the Wynkoop website for official rules and other information. Resumes must be sent by email to Marty Jones, Wynkoop Brewing Media Guru, at marty@wynkoop.com. Resumes must be received by December 31, 2012.
