This week, we're adding a new bottle to your bar; White rum. The daiquiri is one of life’s simple pleasures. When not being slushied, overly sweetened and dyed red, it can be one of the most refreshing cocktails ever invented. It’s history is rich and starts in the late 1800’s. A man by the name of Jennings Cox supposedly invented the drink and named it after the nearby beach “Playa Daiquiri”. From there, it was popularized at the “Floridita Bar” and eventually brought to the U.S. A daiquiri has only three ingredients, which makes it perfect to make when hosting a large group. Just remember, always use fresh juice. Your guests will appreciate it.
