New Belgium Dandelion Ale

The Fort Collins brewery was inspired by the “great hop shortage of 2008” to find an alternate natural bittering ingredient, and in collaboration with Salt Lake City’s Red Rock Brewing, chose dandelion greens. This blond ale is brewed with toasted pilsner malt and a Belgian yeast and flavored with freshly picked dandelion greens and grains of paradise. The resulting ale is hazy and light gold in color with a peachy aroma (7.8% ABV).
