You Can Now Get Champagne From a Vending Machine

by The Drink Nation on Feb 21, 2017 in Culture

At Las Vegas’ Mandarin Oriental Hotel, guests can now self-serve themselves bottles of Möet & Chandon from a vending machine — and it’s the first of its kind in the U.S.

According to Travel + Leisure, the machine, which can hold 320 bottles of mini champagne bottles, is located on the hotel’s 23rd floor in their Sky Lobby. In order to use the machine, guests must first go to the front desk, show their I.D., and purchase a gold coin with the Möet logo that works in this one of a kind vending machine. Thirsty guests can choose between the Imperial Brut and the Imperial Rose, and the bottles are engineered so that they don’t explode when shaken, so there’s no concern about any mess once the bottle is dispensed.

Though Möet & Chandon’s corporate offices in New York City feature machines like this as well, the only other machine open to the public was one at Selfridges Department Store in London back in 2013, and that one was a temporary Christmas promotion, making this machine the only one like it in the United States.

If you find yourself in Las Vegas, be sure to stop by the Mandarin Oriental for a chance to use the most unique vending machine in the country.
