Louis XIII Cognac Reveals John Malkovich and Robert Rodriguez Film Project, "100 Years: The Movie You Will Never See"

by Nina Starner on Nov 24, 2015 in Culture

LOUIS XIII Cognac announced this week that they will be partnering with John Malkovich and director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) to create a new film project entitled “100 Years” and subtitled “The Movie You Will Never See.” The film has already been wrapped and completed and is currently stored safely away in a super-secure safe that will open by itself after 100 years have passed, so that in 2115, the film can finally be screened.

The film focuses on the production of a single decanter of LOUIS XIII Cognac, and is meant to remind both viewers and drinkers that the creators of the cognac rarely, if ever, get to experience their own product -- and the filmmakers certainly won’t get to see their own final product now that it’s locked away in the vault.

Watch the teaser below, and join in the international conversation about the film using the hashtag #notcomingsoon
