Eat & Drink for a Good Cause at ITV's Beer Pairing Dinner with Sanctuary Brewing Co., April 14-15

Nicholas Elmi’s East Passyunk bar, ITV, is teaming up with Sanctuary Brewing Co. on Friday, April 14 & Saturday, April 15 from 5 PM - 11 PM (on both nights) for a two night event featuring beer, vegan food, and animal advocacy.

The evening will benefit the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), which, as Philly’s biggest no-kill shelter, inspired Sanctuary Brewing Co. to team up with a local hotspot. Sanctuary, which is based out of Hendersonville, NC, is a brewery focused on advocacy, making it the perfect company to create this unique dinner. The brewery has been raising money for animal rights since its inception in August 2015, and each night in North Carolina, they serve a rotating list of twenty handmade beers.

Sanctuary and PAWS are smartly teaming up with Elmi’s chic bar, which is directly next to his flagship restaurant, Laurel, and opened in July of 2016. For this event, Elmi himself will be crafting a vegan menu to pair with the beers, so at this event, you can help animals without eating any of them.

The collaboration came out of Elmi’s longtime friendship with Joe Dinan, who, along with his partner Lisa McDonald, founded Sanctuary, and 100% of the event’s proceeds will go directly to PAWS — so don’t forget to head down to East Passyunk on that April weekend and do some good while eating some great food and drinking excellent beer.
