Hungry Pigeon Now Open in Queen Village
After a bit of a delay, Hungry Pigeon, the new concept from Scott Schroeder (formerly of American Sardine Bar and South Philly Tap Room) and Pat O’Malley, is open for business at 4th and Fitzwater.
Currently, Hungry Pigeon is only open for dinner service from 5–10 PM, Sunday through Thursday, and 5–11 PM, Friday and Saturday, but judging by the headline on their website that advertises “breakfast, lunch and dinner,” the other two meals of the day won’t be far behind. In the meantime, stop in during evening hours and grab dishes like cured organic salmon, pot roast, goat stroganoff, and, of course, pan-roasted pigeon.
If you’re just looking to stop in for a drink, be sure to check out their extensive tap system — though they don’t list their draft beers on their site because they change so frequently, they have a great and consistent selection of draft wines and bottled wines by the glass. Under draft wines, they’re currently running a gruner, a dry Riesling, a beaujolais, and a red blend.
Stop by Hungry Pigeon after work sometime soon, and keep an eye on this space to see when their opening hours will include breakfast and lunch service.
