Sneak Peek of Philadelphia Distilling's New Location at The Fillmore in Fishtown

Philadelphia Distilling announced today that it’s moving its production from the Northeast to Fishtown in late 2015. Philadelphia Distilling is the producer of such brands as Bluecoat American Dry Gin, Penn 1681 Rye Vodka, and Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure, and also has the distinction of being Pennsylvania’s first craft distillery since prior to Prohibition.

The distillery is moving to the Ajax Metal Building at 1000 Frankford Avenue. This 125-year old building will also house Philly’s newest venue, Live Nation’s The Fillmore, which will also open this fall. The move will allow Philadelphia Distilling to grow by 13,000 square feet. This means increased production and the addition of a tasting room, bottle shop, event space, restaurant, and outdoor patio. Tastings and guided tours will be offered several times a week at the new location.

Be sure to follow Drink Philly and Philadelphia Distilling for updates about the new location. In the meantime, click through to get a behind-the-scenes look at the raw space that will soon become Philadelphia Distilling’s new digs.
