We first mentioned Victory Brewing Co.’s expansion plans back in March, and over the past five months, the Downingtown, PA-based craft beer maker has been making good progress. We got hold of the first renderings of the new facility, which is being designed in collaboration with Bernardon Haber Holloway Architects of Wilmington, DE.
The Parkesburg operation will be built on an existing industrial complex, and will feature a brewhouse capable of producing 10 different 200-barrel batches each day. The location will also house a 50,000-sq-ft. distribution center with better efficiency than the current operation, so you can expect more Victory beer getting to stores even faster.
We’re excited about this next bit – a catwalk will be built to allow visitors an easy, comprehensive tour of the brewery, and the brewhouse itself will be built with glass walls, so anyone driving or walking along the street can peek inside. The first batch from the new location is slated to be released sometime in summer 2013. In the more distant future, a retail store and onsite brewpub are planned.
