Enjoy a taste of fall in Southern California at the Redondo Beach Lobster Festival September 23-24 at the Seaside Lagoon. This waterfront festival will serve fresh Maine lobster dinners, craft beers, and other culinary delights. Enjoy three full days of eating along with live music and 27,000 pounds of lobster.

For those who prefer to enjoy a cold brew with their lobster, a variety of beers will be available from breweries large and small. The brewery list features national players Bud Light, Goose Island, Shock Top, Kona Brewing, and Stella Artois, alongside California favorites Golden Road, Strand Brewing, El Segundo Brewing, Smog City and Redondo Beach’s own King Harbor Brewing.

For 2016 the festival will feature a variety of live bands covering all eras of music. On Friday check out Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Shootout featuring two internationally renowned tribute bands, Abbey Road and Jumping Jack Flash. There will be six alternating sets with the two bands coming together for an encore. Also on Friday is Graceband, a 12-piece Elvis tribute band. Saturday features five bands and headliners The Pine Mountain Logs. Sunday features a full afternoon of music headlined by Ambrosia and The Babys.

Other fun activities include Stand Up Paddle Board lessons and a special kids’ area with face painting and balloons.

General Admission tickets are $15 per person in advance $20 at the door.  Tickets for lobster dinners are sold separately depending on how much lobster you can handle. The Small Louie Dinner with 1.25 lbs. of lobster and the Steak Dinner with a 12 oz. Certified Angus Beef center-cut NY Strip (no lobster) are $25 per person. The Surf N’ Turf Dinner with an 8 oz. steak and 4-5 oz. of lobster is $35 per person. The Big Louis Dinner with 2 lbs. of lobster is $45 per person. Dinner packages and entrance tickets can be purchased in advance on the website and guests can save $5 when purchasing online. Military and senior discounts are available at the gate only.

A special VIP Lounge is available for $80 per person and includes festival entrance, prime seating with a clear view of the stage, four bistro tickets, full bar and table service, two drink tickets, private restrooms and escorted entry to the lounge.

The 21st annual Lobster Festival will be Friday, September 23, from 6-11 PM, Saturday, September 24, from 12-11 PM and Sunday, September 25, from 12-8 PM. Seaside Lagoon is next to King Harbor, just north of the Redondo Beach Pier at 200 Portofino Way. Both street parking and paid lot parking will available nearby. Free off-site parking is at Redondo Beach High School with shuttle rides every 30 minutes. Check the web site for additional details.
